A gravação do filme/álbum Let It Be (que até então era chamado de Get Back) foi descrita por John Lennon como sendo “a sessão de gravações mais miserável da face da terra”. De fato, aqueles 30 dias foram cansativos e tiveram muitos momentos de baixo astral – alguns deles inclusive aparecem no corte final do filme. Mas a verdade é que eles também se divertiram muito, com dezenas de improvisos, covers de seus ídolos e amigos (Dylan, Little Richard, Chuck Berry etc), músicas dos álbuns dos Beatles e até várias composições inéditas, a maioria nunca gravadas oficialmente por nenhum deles. Foi um total de 403 músicas, que aqui aparecem listadas em ordem alfabética. Várias delas, por serem apenas improvisos, não tiveram sequer título. Nesses casos, aparecem na lista com um asterisco (*), indicando que são títulos presumidos.
Infelizmente não estão disponíveis todas essas gravações em nenhum formato. Mesmo as mais completas coleções de CDs (bootlegs) com essas gravações, não apresentam todas elas.
